BOA and Algir Integrated Services Flag Off Renewed Hope Smallholder Support and Value Chain Programme in Gombe State

The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in collaboration with Algir Integrated Services, officially flagged off the Renewed Hope Smallholder Support and Value Chain Programme in Gombe State, reinforcing a shared commitment to empowering smallholder farmers and strengthening agricultural value chains across Nigeria.

The programme is designed to improve agricultural productivity by providing farmers with access to quality farm inputs, while creating stronger market linkages through reliable offtakers. By connecting production directly to the market, the initiative seeks to reduce post-harvest losses, improve farmers’ incomes, and enhance the sustainability of agricultural enterprises.

Through this partnership, participating farmers will benefit from timely access to improved seeds, fertilizers, crop protection products, and other essential agricultural inputs needed to boost productivity. Equally important, the programme establishes structured market opportunities that ensure harvested produce reaches dependable buyers, enabling farmers to focus on production with greater confidence.

The flag-off ceremony brought together government officials, agricultural stakeholders, community leaders, and participating farmers, all united by a common goal of building resilient agricultural value chains that support economic growth and rural prosperity.

The initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting inclusive agricultural development, improving access to finance and markets, and supporting sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers. It also reflects the Bank of Agriculture’s continued commitment to delivering innovative financing and strategic partnerships that enhance food production and strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

As Nigeria’s foremost agricultural development finance institution, BOA remains dedicated to collaborating with public and private sector partners to implement programmes that increase productivity, improve value addition, and create lasting opportunities for farmers across the country. Through initiatives such as the Renewed Hope Smallholder Support and Value Chain Programme, the Bank continues to place farmers at the centre of Nigeria’s journey towards a more productive, resilient, and food-secure agricultural economy.
