Baba M. Marte is currently the Chief Internal Auditor Bank of Agriculture Ltd. He has over 27 years of diverse experience that cuts across Branch Operations, Auditing and Investigation, Internal Controls and Information Systems.

Prior to being appointed as the Chief Internal Auditor, Mr. Marte served as the Chief Compliance Officer of the Bank. In that capacity, he was responsible for ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations.

He has attended several professional and leadership trainings aimed at sharpening his auditing and result-oriented supervisory leadership skills both local and international including Implementation of the Prudential Standards, Guidelines and Rating System (PSGRS) in African Development Banks organized by Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI); Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) organized by Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN).

Mr. Marte holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Maiduguri. He is a Certified National Accountant and a member of the Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
