BOA MD Highlights Role of Productive Finance in Building a Resilient Nigerian Economy
The MD, Mr. Ayo Sotinrin, attended the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) Annual Banking and Finance Conference alongside the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, as well as leaders across Nigeria’s financial services sector.
He was joined by BOA’s Executive Manager, Operations and Technology, Mr. Tosin Salami; Executive Manager, Corporate Services, Mrs. Fatima Garba; and some of our Zonal Managers.

The conference provided an important platform for industry leaders to exchange ideas on strengthening Nigeria’s financial system, improving economic resilience and creating the conditions for sustainable growth. The conversations were particularly relevant at a time when financial institutions are increasingly being called upon to support productive activity and translate financial resources into tangible economic outcomes.
For us at the Bank of Agriculture, a resilient financial system must ultimately translate into productive financing for sectors that drive real economic growth, particularly agriculture and the businesses across its value chain.

This means strengthening access to finance for farmers, agribusinesses, processors and other businesses that contribute to the agricultural ecosystem. It also means supporting enterprises with the capacity to expand production, create jobs, improve productivity and contribute to Nigeria’s broader food and economic security.

At BOA, we remain committed to playing our part in building a financial ecosystem where capital reaches the real economy, businesses can grow with greater confidence, and agriculture can fulfil its potential as a major driver of inclusive and sustainable economic development.
