Mrs. Bello is a Development Banker with more than three decades of experience in development financing. She started her working carrier with the defunct Peoples Bank of Nigeria that later merged with the former Nigeria Agricultural and Cooperative Bank now Bank of Agriculture.
She is presently the Head of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department (MSMEs); she had previously handled different assignments in the Bank.
She served as the Branch Manager of Head office Branch, Head of Recovery Unit in Credit Administration Department. She was the BOA Desk Officer under the implementation of the Rural Finance Institution Building Program (RUFIN) which the bank was an implementing Financial Institution. The RUFIN Program was a 7-Year project financed by both the Federal Government and IFAD to create an enabling microfinance environment for rural poverty reduction and enhance access of rural poor households to rural financial services.
She studied Economics in Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1989. She attended various professional courses including Agricultural Development Financing, Islamic Agricultural Finance organized by AFRACA, Credit Monitoring and Evaluation and she was also on a study visit to Agricole du Maroc in Morocco, an international sister organization to BOA on Development financing. Mrs Bello is a fellow of Chartered Institute of Credit Administration in Nigeria.
