BOA strenghtens access to finance for Women in Agriculture

Bank of Agriculture Limited in partnership with Kano Leadership Enlightenment & Advocacy for Development Initiative (#DaRUWANA) and Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative have moved to strengthen access to finance for women in Agriculture in Kano state.

The organizations convened a forum with over 400 women in attendance and educated them on categories of loan facilities, specifically for women in the Bank.

The sensitization lecture, aimed at encouraging women to pursue growth opportunities and to promote economic inclusion was held on December 18, 2022 at Trade Fair Complex, Zoo road, Kano.

The program provided an opportunity for the participants to learn the step-by-step procedures for loan application and documentation from the Bank, including the collateral involved in the process and method of repayment.

Speaking at the event, the Ag. Managing Director, Bank of Agriculture (BOA), Alwan Ali Hassan noted that the Bank, being a Development Finance institution in Agriculture is providing loan credit facilities for individuals and SMEs in line with the mandate that established the Bank.
